Welcome to my Tolkien-Games-Page.

Over the last 30 years, many boardgames based on J.R.R. Tolkien's famous Lord of the Rings have been created. Some of them succeeded rather well in capturing the story from the books, while others simply borrow bits of its story. However, most of these games share the fact that they have been out of print for 20 years or longer, and today they are valued as collector's items and are sold for high prices at any games convention.

Quite interestingly, quite a few of the older games were not officially endorsed by the Tolkien estate. As I found out, Tolkien's publisher had neglected the copyright of Tolkien's books in the USA at that time, and this resulted in a lot of games which actually used topics from the Lord of the Rings.
